Black Bear Fetish
Necklace with Owl & Star Charms

This necklace was inspired
by Native American fetish animals, this one being the Black
Bear, which in Zuni Indian legend is guardian of the direction
West. The bear has a tiny turquoise colored seed bead for an eye
and is sealed with a coat of clear satin Polyurethane which
gives his already glittery black coat a nice reflective finish.
The bear bead is completely hand made, I never use molds on my
pieces, and is also strung with matching glass beads, black seed
beads, a silver colored owl charm, and silver colored star charm
on a piece of genuine 1mm leather cording. This necklace
measures approximately 17 1/2" long and hooks with a silver
colored barrel clasp. The bear bead measures approximately 1
3/4" long from nose to tail and 1" tall from tip of ear to front
feet, he is signed on the back, and dated 2006.
